Appearance:    Granular, dark-brown powder.

Pure C₇₆ is chromatographically separated using preparative HPLC. C₇₆ is typically <0.5% of the mixed fullerene extract. Though many structural isomers of C₇₆ are possible, only the chiral C_d2 has been observed and isolated. HPLC analysis is included with sample and indicates the presence of all fullerenes including parent oxides. As well, mass spectral characterization can be provided.

The main fullerene impurity is C₇₈.

Samples are vacuum-dried to remove residual solvent.
